Common questions and answers!

Do I need to make an appointment to view the facilities?

All of our viewings are done on an appointment basis. Because the majority of our training takes place in real life, social areas the dogs are not kept at the facility during the day. They are out an about training!

Our training and boarding staff have different roles in our team and so when you have a viewing it’s important that you’re met by a qualified trainer who can talk you through our program and show you the things you need to know. This is why it’s important that you make an appointment first to ensure a trainer is available to meet and greet!

Who will be training my dog?

Each and every dog we work with is matched to the trainer who is best suited to the breed, temperament and requirements for your individual dog.

Your main contact point will be the head trainer, who is responsible for ensuring you are properly updated with your training and fully understand the process that you need to maintain. Whilst the head trainer will keep you in contact and oversee every element of the training, there is another personal trainer who will spend all day, every day getting on with the work. This helps to balance and prioritise everybody’s time to ensure you have the best quality training with the best customer experience all at the same time!

How will you keep in contact, will we receive updates?

WhatsApp is our usual point of contact where we will organise a group between your head trainer, your personal trainer and anybody you wish to be kept in the loop. Most updates take place around every three days, although we always encourage you to ask questions and engage in conversation. We are most active between 4pm - 7pm online, Monday - Saturday. We also encourage you to check our social media feed for more frequent updates.

How much time will my dog spend training?

Every dog is an individual, and so the specific training time very much depends on the activity level of your dog. We will push the limitations each and every day, taking great care to not over do things and cause burn out or disengagement with your dog. We aim to keep training to short, fun and effective sessions with a greater priority on frequency than duration. Most dogs learn better this way and it’s important to us that we are delivering a high quality of training.

What’s happens when my dog isn’t training?

As with the training time, every dog is an individual and so their needs must be met differently. So once the training is done, some dogs may want to relax and have a nap, others may want to play. We ensure that your dog is taken care of in the way which suits them best, be that nap time, or play time!

What do I need to take with me?

All we need is a copy of your proof of vaccination along with enough food for the duration of the stay. We like to use all of our own equipment to ensure that the quality and cleanliness of everything is kept to the highest standard! You are welcome to leave your own blankets or toys, but we do request that anything precious is left behind in order to avoid anything getting lost or damaged.

We are happy to take raw food or dry food, but please stick to the usual brand that your dog has to avoid any upset stomachs from a sudden change of food, that could interfere with your dog time settling down and cause delays in training! We recommend that you leave more food than you would usually feed, as the increase in mental and physical exercise often leads to dogs requiring a higher nutritional intake.
